Optical Meter Type

   Your choices are...

   Power Meter

An optical testing instrument designed to measure the average power of a continuous light beam. The instrument is used frequently to measure the beam power of continuous wave lasers.

   Energy Meter

An optical testing instrument designed to measure the total energy of a single pulse. The instrument is used frequently to measure the beam energy of pulsed lasers.

   Power / Energy Meter

A combination Power / Energy Meter.

Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
   Wavelength Range:

The range of wavelengths the detector is designed for.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the limits in a "From - To" range; when both are specified, matching products will cover entire range. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
   Sensor Diameter:

The diameter of the active sensor area.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
   Detector Mechanism:
   Your choices are...

   Pyroelectric

Pyroelectric detectors are designed to measure the energy of short optical pulses that have a maximum width of 5 µs to 400 µs depending upon detector design. These detectors are made of a ferroelectric crystal, which has a permanent dipole moment. When subjected to an optical pulse, the crystal is heated and causes the dipole moment to change. The changing of this dipole moment causes a current to flow. When using Pyroelectrics, care must be taken not to exceed the maximum pulse width or the maximum repetition rate.

   Semiconductor

Semiconductor photodiodes are ideal for making measurements of low-level light due

   Thermal

An array of thermocouples connected together in series in order to increase the voltage output to more easily measured levels. In use, absorption of a laser beam creates heat at the receiver area of the power probe. The amount of heat and thus the temperature rise at the receiver, is determined by the power level of the laser beam.

Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
   Number of Channels:

     The number of input channels.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
   Operating Temperature:

Recommended operating temperature for the display.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the limits in a "From - To" range; when both are specified, matching products will cover entire range. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
Power Meter Performance

   Power Range:

The range of power the detector is designed to measure in watts.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the limits in a "From - To" range; when both are specified, matching products will cover entire range. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
   Accuracy:

The accuracy of the power measurement.

Search Logic:      All matching products will have a value less than or equal to the specified value.
Energy Meter Performance

   Energy Range:

The range of energy the detector is designed to measure in Joules.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the limits in a "From - To" range; when both are specified, matching products will cover entire range. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
   Accuracy:

The accuracy of the energy measurement.

Search Logic:      All matching products will have a value less than or equal to the specified value.
   Maximum Pulse Width:

Since energy meters measure the energy of a pulse, there is a maximum length to the pulse it can measure.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
Display

   Display Type:
   Your choices are...
