Polarizer Construction

Polarizer Construction:      Polarizing beamsplitter cubes consist of two halves, which must be fixed in relation to one another by either mounting or cement.
   Your choices are...

   Cement

     Two halves cemented together.

   Mounted

     Two halves mounted together.

Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
   Cube Side Length:

The length of one side of the cube. From that length the area of the cube can be determined.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
Polarizer Performance

   Transmission:

Transmission is the ratio of total straight through output to total unpolarized input.

Search Logic:      All matching products will have a value greater than or equal to the specified value.
   Wavelength Range:

The wavelength range the polarizer is designed to work in.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the limits in a "From - To" range; when both are specified, matching products will cover entire range. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
   Extinction Ratio:

The ratio of the power of a plane-polarized beam that is transmitted through a polarizer placed in its path with its polarizing axis parallel to the beam's plane, as compared with the transmitted power when the polarizer's axis is perpendicular to the beam's plane.

Search Logic:      All matching products will have a value greater than or equal to the specified value.
   Beam Deviation:

The deviation of the polarized beam from normal.

Search Logic:      All matching products will have a value less than or equal to the specified value.
Polarizer Features

Coating:      Some polarizers are coated to increase transmission of light at the polarizer-air interface.
   Your choices are...

   None

Polarizing beamsplitter cube has no coating.

   Antireflective

Polarizing beamsplitter cube has an antireflective coating.

Search Logic:      Products with the selected attribute will be returned as matches. Leaving or selecting "No Preference" will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
Polarizer Material

Polarizer Material      Since polarizing cube beamsplitters use reflection to polarize light, materials that comprise these cubes lack the bifringency provided by other types of polarizers. The materials tend to be more bandpass oriented.
   Your choices are...

   BK7 Glass

BK7 Glass is boro-crown glass (borosilicate glass). BK7 has a wavelength range of 330-2100 nm.

   SF2 Glass

SF2 Glass is dense flint (alkaline silicate glasses with 47% wt. PbO).

   UV grade fused Silica

UV grade fused silica offer improved transmission in the ultraviolet region compared to crown glass. The wavelength range is 200-2500 nm.

   Other Material

Any other polarizing beamsplitter cube material.

Search Logic:      Products with the selected attribute will be returned as matches. Leaving or selecting "No Preference" will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
Polarizer Surface

Surface Quality:      Surface quality of the beamsplitter cube.
   Your choices are...

   10-5 Scratch / Dig

A dig is a defect on a polished optical surface that is nearly equal in terms of its length and width. A scratch is a defect on a polished optical surface whose length is many times its width. 10 / 5 indicates the average diameter of the digs to be .05 mm and the average length of a scratch is .10 mm.

   20-10 Scratch / Dig

A dig is a defect on a polished optical surface that is nearly equal in terms of its length and width. A scratch is a defect on a polished optical surface whose length is many times its width. 20 / 10 indicates the average diameter of the digs to be .10 mm and the average length of a scratch is .20 mm.

   40-20 Scratch / Dig

A dig is a defect on a polished optical surface that is nearly equal in terms of its length and width. A scratch is a defect on a polished optical surface whose length is many times its width. 40 / 20 indicates the average diameter of the digs to be .20 mm and the average length of a scratch is .40 mm.

   60-40 Scratch / Dig

A dig is a defect on a polished optical surface that is nearly equal in terms of its length and width. A scratch is a defect on a polished optical surface whose length is many times its width. 60 / 40 indicates the average diameter of the digs to be .40 mm and the average length of a scratch is .60 mm.

   80-50 Scratch / Dig

A dig is a defect on a polished optical surface that is nearly equal in terms of its length and width. A scratch is a defect on a polished optical surface whose length is many times its width. 80 / 50 indicates the average diameter of the digs to be .50 mm and the average length of a scratch is .80 mm.

   Other

Any other Scratch / Dig surface quality rating.

Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
